These Terms of Service govern your use of Home Vault ("the Service"), operated by the Home Vault team. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Service description

Home Vault is a personal finance tracking tool that helps you manage household budgets, log transactions, set savings goals, and gain spending insights. Home Vault is not a financial institution, investment adviser, tax adviser, or legal adviser. Nothing in this app constitutes financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making significant financial decisions.

2. Subscription and billing

• Access to Home Vault requires a paid subscription at $7.99 per month.
• Subscriptions are billed monthly through LemonSqueezy, our payment processor.
• You may cancel at any time via your LemonSqueezy customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are issued for unused time.
• Prices may change with 30 days' notice. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new price.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use Home Vault only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Use the Service for commercial purposes or on behalf of multiple end users (personal use only).
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract data from the Service by automated means.
• Use the Service in connection with any illegal activity.
• Share your account credentials with others.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, security controls, or access other users' data.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Home Vault and its operators are not liable for any financial decisions made based on data or insights provided by the app. We are not responsible for any loss of data, financial loss, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or accuracy of financial calculations.

6. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or use the Service in a way that harms other users or the operation of the Service. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately.

7. Governing law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
